School Newsletter posts and Teacher Pages can be built and accessed directly within Gradelink; however, they also have the ability to be shared and embedded in other web pages, too! To share or embed School News posts or Teacher Pages, use the “Share” button located in the top right corner of their respective pages.

Clicking on the “Share” button will open up a new window with two fields in it:

The first field, “Link”, contains a direct URL to the page you are currently viewing. To use it, simply click anywhere in the field to highlight the text and then Copy it - either by using the right click on your mouse or CTRL+C (Command+C on Mac devices) on your keyboard. Alternatively, you can click on the text that says "Copy" directly below the field to automatically copy the link. You can then paste the link into the address bar of your web browser by right clicking and selecting “Paste” or by pressing CTRL+V (Command+V on Mac).

The second field is a little more advanced and contains an “EmbedLink”. Unlike a URL, which is basically just an address for your web browser, an embedded link must be ‘embedded’ into a web page using HTML. If you are interested in embedding a particular teacher page into your website, you should contact your webmaster and provide them with the Embedded Link.

It's important to remember that each link only works for one particular page, and also keep in mind that pages that are embedded and then unpublished will instead display an error message until the original post is re-published.
